Coach Colin Barnes is a native of Hoover, AL where he played for AL ODP and Region III ODP.  He has coached at the youth level around the country, including the Highland Football Club, Port City Soccer Club, Peachtree City Lazers, Chicago Magic and Concorde Fire.  While receiving his Masters of Teaching in Physical Education, Barnes was a Graduate Assistant at Columbus State University and received the NSCAA South Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2011.  

He has worked on ODP State Staff and as a Coaching Education Instructor in North Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.  His 1994 Georgia ODP Girls took 3rd place at ODP Nationals in Phoenix, AZ in 2011.  Barnes also worked ODP Region III Staff in 2011-2012 for the Girls.  He currently helps AL Soccer with EPD, ODP and Coaching Education while he completes his courseowrk on his doctorate in Sport Pedagogy at the University of Alabama.  He is also the Volunteer Assistant Coach for the University of Alabama.

Coach Rozi Osman has been a competitive soccer coach in Alabama for over 20+ years. He has been the Head Coach at Auburn University Women's Club Soccer for over 10+ years. He also serves on the Alabama Soccer Association Coaching Education Staff instructing the US Soccer "E" License and "D" License Courses.  He is an Alabama ODP veteran with over 10 years experience.

Coach Katie Steinert is a huge asset to the Alabama ODP serving as the on-site administrator to help with jersey distribution, gear sales, and other crucial tasks.  In the summer, she serves as the lead administrator for the Girls Region Trials at the University of Montevallo.

Coach Katie is also very active in the TOPS program and is a special needs teach for the Hoover City School system.

Coach Joel has served in many different capacities as a collegiate coach (Francis Marion University, University of Mobile) as well as a DOC (Elite Clubs National League Director(ECNL) - Birmingham United Soccer Association , Mobile Soccer Club, and Florence Soccer Association) and also at the high school level (UMS Wright).  A native of Alaska, Coach Joel is a veteran on the Alabama ODP Staff dating back to 2006 and recently served as the Head Coach of the Birmingham Hammers NPSL team and helped start the program from the ground-up during the first two years.

Codi Crippen came to Huntingdon as the assistant men's soccer coach in 2014. Before Huntingdon, Crippen spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Bethel University. Crippen has also served as a youth coach with the Columbus Crew and a director and coach for the University of Rio Grande Youth Soccer Program. A four-year player for the University of Rio Grande (2006-09), Crippen's teams posted a 71-13-8 record, qualified for the NAIA national tournament four times, reached the national tournament's Round of 16 twice, Final Four twice and finished as the NAIA national runner-up in 2008. After college, Crippen played in the Premier Arena Soccer League with the Paducah Premier and had a professional trial with the Colne Football Club in 2013. Crippen earned bachelor's degrees in physical education and sport and exercise science from the University of Rio Grande and a master's degree in education from Bethel University.

Matthew Thorne just completed his fourth season as head coach of the men's soccer team after leading West Alabama to its first Gulf South Conference Tournament in just its third year as a program. Along with starting the program, he has led the Tigers to 34-19-2 overall and 21-13-1 in the GSC. The run to the 2014 title included matchups with four Top 25 teams and ended in 11-6-1 overall record (6-3 in the GSC) with a 20th ranking in the Bennett Division II Men's Soccer poll. UWA defeated Alabama Huntsville 6-5 in a penalty kick shootout to advance to the championship game where they claimed a 3-1 victory over Shorter University. Thorne led the Tigers to their first GSC tournament championship game appearance in the program’s second year.  Thorne led the team to its first ever national ranking, voted 25th by the American Soccer Coaches Association of America on Sept. 24, 2013.  UWA were conference champs in 2015.

Coach Clement is from Manchester, England and moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1986.  He is married to Meredith, and they have four children ages 25, 20, 19 and 16.  Coach Clement is a graduate of the University of Buckingham in England, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, the University of Cambridge in England where he earned a Master’s Degree in Law, and the University of Alabama School of Law, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Comparative Law.

Coach Clement has over twenty years of experience coaching youth soccer, all at Briarwood Soccer Club, where he also served for five years as the club’s President.  He has coached in the Alabama ODP Program for four years.  He is a shareholder in the law firm of RichardsonClement PC and is also completing course work toward a Master’s Degree in Education at Samford University

Chris Kranjc is in his first season as UAH's head men's soccer coach. Kranjc comes to Huntsville after spending 17 years creating a terrific resume at NAIA power Hastings College in Nebraska.
 
Kranjc has compiled an impressive 297-67-21 record at Hastings, and his crowning achievement came in 2010 when he guided his team to the NAIA national championship, and he earned the NSCAA's NAIA National Coach of the Year award that season for his efforts.
 
Kranjc took his team to the NAIA national tournament 11 times, reached the national semifinals on four occasions, and in addition to the national championship in 2010, his team was the national runner-up in 2011.

Oleg Sinelnikov played soccer professionally in the US with the Indianapolis Blast and Cincinnati Riverhawks of A-League. He has over 20 years of collegiate, high school and club coaching experience. Coach Oleg holds NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma and USSF "B" license. Dr. Oleg Sinelnikov is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Alabama. His research includes issues in coaching, physical education, and motivational indices in athletic performance settings.

Coach Manny is originally from Camaguey, Cuba and graduated from Lee University, Cleveland, Tennessee with a BA in Wellness and Fitness (Cum Laude). Manny played collegiate soccer at Lee University in which he also served as the Head Assistant Coach. In his two years as a player at Lee he was named 1st Team NCCAA All -American, All Tran south Conference, All Region Player and All Tournament Team at the National Tournament. Manny played professionally for seven years in the NPSL, AISA, MISL, and USISL. Manny has been coaching for over 28 years.  Prior to coming to the Montgomery YMCA/Streaks he was the Director of Coaching for the Roswell Santos SC (GA). He also served as the GA Olympic Development Program Head Coach for the 1996 Girls. Manny previously served as Head coach in the AL, TN and MN ODP and a staff Coach for Region II and III ODP for the Boys and Girls.  Manny's full-time position in TN was serving as the Executive Director and Director of Coaching for Tennessee State Soccer Association (10+ Years) where he oversaw the Olympic Development Program, State Coaching Schools and day-to-day operations of the association. Manny has coached Club Select teams to five State Cup Championships in TN and AL.

Allison Whitworth was named the head coach of Spring Hill College women’s soccer in December 2015 following a successful three-year stint as the lead assistant/goalkeeper coach and recruiting coordinator with the Ohio University Bobcats in Athens, Ohio.

A Birmingham native and 2007 graduate of Auburn, Whitworth spent three seasons in the Women's Professional Soccer League, suiting up for the Atlanta Beat. She was originally drafted in 2009 by FC Gold Pride in the eighth round (54th overall), becoming the first Tiger player to be drafted into a professional soccer league.

Whitworth capped her Auburn career by setting a school career record of 356 saves including 132 during her senior season to lead the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Her 356 saves place her third in the league record book. She registered 22 career shutouts, including eight in each of her final two seasons to tie for eighth in SEC history. Her 1.02 goals against average as a senior helped her garner First Team All-SEC honors for her second appearance on the All-SEC squad after earning Second Team recognition as a junior.

Auburn's women's sports nominee for the H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Post-Graduate Scholarship that has been presented since 1986 to the SEC's top female scholar-athlete, Whitworth garnered academic honors such as the SEC Academic Honor Roll and was an Auburn University Top Tiger four times throughout her collegiate career.

Coach Caroline Clarke grew up in South Carolina, playing at the top level throughout not only the Southeast but the nation, winning the State Championship for 8 consecutive years. She then went on to play collegiately at Appalachian State University where she was a four year starter. Following college, she has been involved at various clubs including High Country Soccer Association, Lakeland Toros Soccer Club, and Birmingham United Soccer Association as well as coaching at Watauga High School in Boone, North Carolina. Coach Kevan Watkins currently lives in Rome, Ga with his wife Melja and daughter Kallia. He has been a staff coach with Alabama Soccer ODP since 2013. He teaches psychology at Georgia Northwestern Technical College and is the assistant women's soccer coach at Shorter University. Before moving to Northwest Georgia in 2011 Kevan was an assistant coach with the men's soccer program at Stetson University where he played from 1997-2001.

Kevan is entering is 4th year with Alabama ODP and has produced over 10 players into the Region Pool during his time with various age groups.

Coach Nikki Brown played for Chelsea Ladies FC before moving to the United States to play at the University of North Alabama. She also played at UNA for four years where she was fortunate enough to receive many accolades such as three time Daktronics All-American, Gulf South Conference First team pick, and Capital One Academic All-American. We won the GSC Title in 2011.She currently coaches at Jacksonville State University for the past two seasons as the graduate assistant, and is now a full time assistant coach with JSU. In 2014, JSU soccer made history by reaching the Ohio Valley Conference final and we hope to build on this in the future. She also spends every summer working various camps around the United States working with players from as young as u6 to u18.

Coach Nikki is entering her 2nd year with Alabama ODP after serving as the 1999 Girls State Team Coach in 2015-2016 along with Coach Zac.

Coach Emma Greenwood is a native of England and made her way to Alabama via the University of Montevallo, where she was a four year starter.  After serving as an Assistant Coach upon graduation, Emma started with Alabama ODP and has been a stalwart ever since.  In 2015-2016, she worked with multiple age groups before eventually guiding the 2002 Girls Second team during the Region Trials.  She is a great asset to both Alabama ODP and the Elite Player Development.  She is also currently coaching Academy and Competitive teams at Homewood Soccer Club.

Coach Jimmy Garrett is serving his second year on the Alabama ODP staff.  He played college soccer at Tufts University and has over 23 years of coaching experience with girls and boys high school and youth soccer.  He has lead a number of teams to state cup championships. He has also has been involved in the ODP programs in both Tennessee and Alabama as a staff coach.

Coach Caroline Clarke grew up in South Carolina, playing at the top level throughout not only the Southeast but the nation, winning the State Championship for 8 consecutive years. She then went on to play collegiately at Appalachian State University where she was a four year starter. Following college, she has been involved at various clubs including High Country Soccer Association, Lakeland Toros Soccer Club, and Birmingham United Soccer Association as well as coaching at Watauga High School in Boone, North Carolina. She is currently in her third season at University of Montevallo.

Oleg Sinelnikov played soccer professionally in the US with the Indianapolis Blast and Cincinnati Riverhawks of A-League. He has over 20 years of collegiate, high school and club coaching experience. Coach Oleg holds NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma and USSF "B" license. Dr. Oleg Sinelnikov is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Alabama. His research includes issues in coaching, physical education, and motivational indices in athletic performance settings.  Coach Oleg has also served on the Region III ODP Goalkeeping Staff.

Coach Jay Hammond grew up in Birmingham playing for BUSA Developmental Academy in high school while also playing at Oak Mtn HS and being a key part of the 2008 State Championship team. He then went off to play at Mississippi College.  While formerly at Trussville United Soccer Club, Coach Jay coached two ASA Division 2 State Championship teams. Also, assisted at Oak Mtn for the Boys Varsity in 2014 as State Runner ups and as 2015 State Champions.

Coach Hayden Mitchel grew up and played in Mobile, Alabama where he was the captain of his club team as well as Murphy High School. He was unfortunately forced to quit his senior year due to successive severe concussions. He decided to continue competing through coaching soccer since he could not quit his love for the game. He has coached at clubs and high schools in Alabama, North Carolina, and South Africa. He is currently the Head Coach of Murphy High School's Varsity and Junior Varsity Men's Soccer teams in Mobile, Alabama where he also teaches Social Sciences and is the Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Cross Country team.
