WHAT DO ALABAMA ODP COACHES AND SCOUTS LOOK FOR?
Coaches assess players in their performance of the Key Qualities of a US Soccer Player for their Position Specific Role.
WHAT IF MY CHILD IS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THESE QUALITIES, ETC.?
In each Alabama ODP ID & Training Center coaches run training exercises and games where they teach these qualities with special emphasis on the positional role a player is in. This approach also teaches a style of play focused on purposeful possession which helps players develop. To learn more about this way of playing click here.
Furthermore, players should be receiving coaching on similar concepts at the club level.
