Why Affiliate?

Becoming an affiliate of ASA means joining an ever growing infrastructure that aims to provide members with the tools and support to reach their goals. We understand that every league and club faces different challenges and offer many different services to meet those challenges.

Become a Member:

  • Develop Bylaws to govern your organization and institute a Board of Directors
  • Affiliation form will be completed every year on our Registration Platform GotSport in order to be a sanctioned member.
  • Contact Jennifer Pfeiffer, ASA Executive Director, for more information.

Current and Returning Members

Each member must complete a new Affiliation Form at the beginning of each year to be a sanctioned ASA member. It is located on your club account in GotSport with a $125 fee.

To host a sanctioned ASA tournament you will need to download, fill out and upload the Application to host, Tournament Hosting Agreements, and your tournament rules to:

Once the tournament is completed, you will need to immediately submit red cards and injury reports to Jennifer

The Post tournament payment with the ASA Post Tournament Report is due 14 days after the final date of the tournament in GotSport.  

A late fee of $100 will be posted to host organization Gotsport account after 30 days.

Friendlies – We have limited Referees in Alabama, same as everywhere across the country – more games than available referees. Friendlies are not part of a sanctioned league nor a sanctioned tournament which is a priority for game assignments. You will need to be approved for Sanctioning Friendlies starting in 2025-2026 seasonal year. The form will be available in June 2025 as we change to the new seasonal year.

BETTER ENVIRONMENTS = BETTER PLAYERS

ASA offers the below resources to member clubs to help develop club environments. To request access to a file, click on the links below. Our Technical Director, Kevin Laux, will verify your ASA membership and give you access to the file to copy and use. Support with using each file is also available by request.

Additionally, eligible Club Directors can take US Soccer’s Club Technical Leadership courses, a pathway specifically designed to educate and license club leadership.
