HomeASA Futures League

ASA Futures League

The purpose of the Futures League is to provide a fun and organized grassroots level of a soccer community for players of all abilities and ages in appropriate levels of competition.  The league is mainly around Birmingham but we hope to grow and expand to reach across all of Alabama.

Our ASA Values are:

Enjoyment

Enjoyment through learning individually and within a positive team environment to return again and again.

Safety

Safety to play in a positive environment to try new skills, at all levels, free from intimidation, harassment, and bullying.

Development

Development to be the best player, coach, administrator, referee, or spectator that you can be each day.

Retention

The love of soccer is inclusive to all levels of play for age, gender, and abilities as a lifelong sport.

Community

Together, all things are possible to continue the values of the game beyond the boundaries of the field.

Futures League Registration

Futures Spring 2025

The Spring Season will start March 1 and end April 30th; this will be a 6-match season due to spring breaks and Easter.  Teams will have ten days before the start of the season to move their matches to different dates.  We will no longer have blackout dates as this caused the schedule to have many matches on Sundays, which a majority of teams disliked.  All matches have the flexibility to move matches to days/times as desired as long as they have communicated and reached an agreement with their opponent.  Your club will be your point of contact to move these matches for your teams during this free rescheduling period.

Is your game lopsided in scoring or skill level? Here are some ideas to Keep it FUN – Competition Safeguarding

Alabama Soccer Association tries to create a league that is competitive and fun but sometimes a game may be lopsided in skills and ability. We have added Competition Safeguarding to give coaches and parents some ideas of how to ensure a game is played without running up the score and more players get a chance to play or be challenged in their game. Are you new to coaching? Please continue to scroll down for coaching resources and tools to assist with managing your team.

Thank you for being a coach, referee, administrator, volunteer and player for our Future Stars of Soccer!
